This shirt is inspired by a piano shawl from the early 20th century. Piano shawls became popular in Victorian England as home decorations, but by the 1930s, the name had come to refer to fringed silk shawls worn by women. The newer shawls were influenced both by Spanish and Chinese fashions and motifs.

This shirt is embroidered with a yellow-and-white floral pattern and features long, knotted fringe about the hem.
